The Minister of Municipal, Rural, and Housing Affairs, Mr. Majid Al-Hogail, praised the role of Nonprofit sector<\/span> <\/a>and corporate social responsibility programs in the private sector, commending their active contribution to sustainable development through the construction and renovation of housing units, the planting of trees along roads and in residential projects, and efforts to improve the urban landscape, in order to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom\u2019s Vision 2030 programs; with the aim of increasing the nonprofit sector\u2019s contribution to GDP to 5%, thanks to the unlimited and continuous support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect them both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Al-Haqil explained, during his participation in the closing ceremony of The \u201cFirst Forum on Developmental Housing and Community Participation\u201d<\/a><\/span>...that the active partnership with more than 350 associations has contributed to providing tens of thousands of housing units to families benefiting from the Developmental Housing Program, in partnership with the regional emirates and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, to serve the nonprofit sector within the municipal and housing sectors, highlighting the achievements of the Jood Al-Iskan platform through its active community partnership in serving more than 33,000 individuals from the most needy families, with contributions exceeding 670 million riyals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The sessions covered a number of topics related to ways of fostering integration among the government, private, and nonprofit sectors, and their role in achieving the goals of the Kingdom\u2019s Vision 2030, The sessions also discussed the role of the National Center for the Development of the Nonprofit Sector, as well as the outsourcing of services in the nonprofit sector, its role in government operations, and the rationalization of spending efficiency, in addition to leading global experiences in the field of developmental housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The forum honored a number of organizations and individuals for their efforts in serving the sector.
