Starting from January 2022, the Saudi Central Bank will initiate repo and reverse repo operations, as well as open market operations with banks operating in the Kingdom, using Bloomberg Auction System<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 During 2018, the Central Bank announced the successful completion of the project to develop the issuance platform for Treasury Bills and Murabaha\u2014the \u201cSAMA Electronic Platform\u201d\u2014using the Bloomberg auction system, which will facilitate the participation of banks operating in the Kingdom in the primary market for Treasury Bills and Murabaha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, His Excellency the Vice Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, Mr. Ayman Al-Sayari, stated: \u201cThis cooperation with Bloomberg represents the next phase in the development of the operational procedures for the Central Bank\u2019s monetary policy operations. Enhancing the efficiency of operational aspects will have a positive impact on the banking sector, and this is in line with best international practices in liquidity management through electronic trading.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
