In the first part of this article, we learned about what is known as Green Buildings<\/a> which adopts the principle of a clean environment as a way of life and an unwavering guiding principle, using natural materials and energy sources that do not pollute the environment to preserve human life and health; the march of time does not stop, and the future is inevitably approaching, Experts must seek out everything that provides comfort and safety and eliminate or reduce the pollutants caused by the Industrial Revolution and technological development that have damaged the environment. Consequently, the prevailing trend among most countries, investors, and citizens worldwide is a shift toward green (sustainable) buildings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key component of green buildings is raising awareness among citizens who are accustomed to a lifestyle that relies on conventional energy sources, the use of electrical appliances and gas stoves, and the resulting emissions that are harmful to the environment and citizens\u2019 health,\u00a0Since nothing in this world is perfect, these buildings do have some drawbacks, including the need for locations with bright sunlight to generate energy, and the fact that the energy-generation process leads to a rise in temperature; \u00a0Consequently, they are not designed for hot regions because they lack air-cooling systems\u2014a point highlighted by engineer Hassan Fathy, the world\u2019s greatest architect \u2014 who successfully designed an entire city in southern Egypt in the form of domes, which helped reduce indoor temperatures by fifteen degrees by using natural ventilation methods: drawing air into the home and passing it through the high domes to create a temperature drop, thereby eliminating the need for air conditioners, which have no connection to green buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some examples of green buildings around the world:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 The Millennium Dome: One of Britain\u2019s most famous landmarks, it is a tent-like structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 The Southern Federal Center in Seattle, Washington: It provides light and fresh air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 The Green Shelter in Stuttgart, Germany: It draws its energy from solar panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short, the world has come to realize the dangers of overreliance on conventional energy and the severe damage it causes to the environment and people\u2019s health, and that a return to nature has become inevitable. It is time for us to focus on building society rather than buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
