Adoption of the National Program for Group Housing for Individuals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural, and Housing Affairs emphasized that the approval of the National Program for the Development of Collective Housing for Individuals and its initiatives represents one of the most important forms of support and attention given to this vital segment of society, noting the leadership\u2019s commitment to providing a suitable and sustainable housing environment for all workers in accordance with approved quality and safety standards, and to improving their quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And more than 800,000 workers have registered on the platform<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to raising awareness among business owners about the importance of disclosing the addresses where their workers reside through Collective Housing Platform<\/a> More than 800,000 workers have registered on the platform. Awareness levels among the target groups were assessed prior to the release of the guidance manual, and the results showed that 75 percent of participants had a moderate or higher level of awareness of health guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3,176 Properties Licensed for Collective Housing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approximately 3,176 properties were licensed as \u201dcollective housing\u201d This exceeds the target of 2,143 properties and provides housing for 547,463 residents, representing the capacity of the licensed housing units out of the 450,000 residents targeted for 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the number of private-sector facilities eligible for licensing was increased to 100, up from the 2021 target of 60, and the capacity for workers from small, medium, and micro-enterprises residing in licensed group housing was raised to 253,000 workers, up from the 2021 target of 172,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Program for the Development of Collective Housing for Individuals aims to achieve seven strategic objectives, including raising awareness and promoting a culture of healthy housing, upgrading the collective housing system, and increasing the supply of such housing to meet demand, developing licensing and oversight procedures; alleviating overcrowding and congestion in collective housing both within and outside cities; coordinating efforts among stakeholders involved in collective housing development; developing financing mechanisms for collective housing projects for individuals; and ensuring an adequate supply of licensed properties to increase market competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizations Represented in the Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program includes representatives from several entities, namely the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, the Public Health Authority \u201cWaqaya,\u201d the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Commerce, the Special Economic Zones Authority, and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
