Under the patronage and with the participation of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Saudi Council of Engineers concluded the forum Saudi Building Code<\/span><\/a>, which was held under the theme \u201cCode: Safety and Sustainability.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The forum\u2019s sessions were graced by the participation of His Excellency Dr. Saad Al-Qasabi, Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization; His Excellency Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Amro, Director General of Civil Defense; Engineer Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Assistant Minister of Energy for Development and Excellence; as well as representatives from a range of government and private sectors involved in the implementation of the Saudi Building Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assign a task to the relevant parties<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The forum addressed the economic benefits of the code, the roles of government agencies, and the need to encourage engineering firms to apply the Saudi Building Code to buildings and structures. The Authority\u2019s Secretary-General, Engineer Abdulnasser Al-Abdullatif, emphasized the importance of the Saudi Building Code and the roles it plays, highlighting the benefits it brings to society. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Council of Engineers highlighted the fundamental role of the engineering field in the Saudi Building Code, as well as the Council\u2019s contributions through its training programs on various aspects of the code, aimed at enhancing the readiness of engineering professionals to implement the Saudi Building Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improving the inspection process and investing in the code<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The forum\u2019s sessions focused on the work of the Saudi Building Code Forum and on discussing the development of activities that support the inspection mechanism and investment in the Saudi Building Code, as well as the Authority\u2019s role in building the capacity of national engineering professionals to apply the Saudi Building Code through its specialized and subsidized training programs for its members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Objectives of the Code<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

 The sessions addressed the future of the engineering firm system in the Kingdom and the key objectives outlined for the Building Code, including: technical and scientific requirements and standards related to buildings; the challenges faced by engineering firms in implementing the code; and appropriate, professional solutions; as well as the engineering services they provide regarding the implementation and supervision of plans, the procedures of the Saudi Building Code, and the importance of engineering program specializations during the construction phases.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
