But could the metaverse have both positive and negative effects on the real estate market?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Benefits of the Metaverse for the Real Estate Market<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Increased momentum and activity in real estate markets, with sales of digital real estate across various metaverse platforms reaching nearly $500 million in 2021, and according to data and reports released by MetaMetric, digital real estate sales in January of this year, 2022, exceeded $85 million, and overall sales are expected to reach nearly $1 billion this year 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It offers immersive virtual home tours.
