The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently participating in meetings World Economic Forum<\/mark><\/a> 2022, which will be held in the Swiss city of Davos from May 22 to 26, under the title \u201cHistory at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kingdom\u2019s delegation is headed by Minister of State and Cabinet member Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Asaf, and the delegation includes Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Investment Engineer Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al-Fahla, Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadhan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, and Princess Haifa bint Mohammed, Assistant Minister of Tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation will engage in meaningful dialogues with its international partners, participating in numerous plenary and private sessions, with the aim of developing effective solutions to global challenges, including climate change, economic conditions, the shortage of global supply security and geopolitical risks, energy security, as well as the ongoing risks of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The delegation will present the Kingdom\u2019s perspective and its domestic and international efforts in responding to the eight main issues that are at the center of this year\u2019s meeting topics: climate and the environment, creating more equitable economies, technology and innovation, jobs and skills, improving the business environment, health and healthcare, international cooperation, and society and justice.
During the bilateral meetings and sessions, the members of the delegation will review the Kingdom\u2019s achievements in responding to the global challenges addressed by these axes, through presenting the qualitative leap in the development of the business environment and the lessons learned globally in terms of diversifying the economy and sources of income, as well as the efforts to enable community and economic empowerment for all groups, and the successes that accompanied them, including the doubling of women\u2019s contribution to the labor market and the acceleration of job creation in new economic sectors, the advanced positions achieved by the Kingdom in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, and then recovering from it at all levels, alongside the environmental protection initiatives in the Kingdom and the region, foremost of which is the \u201cGreen Middle East\u201d initiative within the priority given by the Kingdom to the issues of sustainability at all levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation will also present the Kingdom\u2019s vision of the future of enhancing the capabilities of human resources and talent and supporting the adoption of smart solutions based on advanced technology and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, its perspective on the security of key resources and commodities and its pivotal role in ensuring the security and stability of energy markets, as well as its efforts to diversify the energy mix domestically and globally and its long-term investments in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year's session of the World Economic Forum is exceptional on all counts, as it is the first session to be held in person since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 2,500 personalities from heads of state, top business leaders, investors, and decision-makers from around the world are expected to attend, and the sessions coincide with geopolitical and economic developments that have imposed serious challenges on global growth and caused disruptions in supply chains.
