<\/a>Under the gracious patronage of His Royal Highness the Governor of the Asir Region and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asir Region Development Authority, the Asir Region Development Authority and the Saudi Tourism Authority signed, on Thursday, May 26, in the village of Zibna in the Asir Region, a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening the Asir Region\u2019s position as a global tourism destination. This will be achieved by aligning strategies to enhance tourist destinations, developing tourism products and services, increasing visitor satisfaction, and exchanging expertise and information. Under this agreement, tourist attractions and products will be identified and promoted, and task forces will be formed to monitor progress and ensure continuous development, thereby reinforcing all efforts in line with the overall direction of the region\u2019s \u201cQumum wa Shaim\u201d strategy. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0This agreement between the Asir Region Development Authority and the Saudi Tourism Authority was concluded under the direct supervision of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir Region and Chairman of its Development Council; as part of close cooperation among government sectors to achieve shared strategic goals that align with the Kingdom\u2019s Vision 2030, which seeks to place Saudi Arabia on the global tourism map and establish Asir\u2019s position as a unique global tourist destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0His Highness the Governor of the region and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asir Tourism Authority stated: \u201cThis partnership and close cooperation with the Saudi Tourism Authority; marks an important phase in the development of the Asir Region. Our partnership with the Authority extends to proposing and defining marketing and distribution strategies for the region\u2019s tourist destinations to achieve the goals set out in the Kingdom\u2019s Vision 2030. The agreement also contributes to enhancing coordination with the Saudi Tourism Authority to support the Destination Management Office at the Asir Region Development Authority.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Al-Khatib, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority, stated: \u201cWe are delighted with this fruitful partnership and close cooperation with the Asir Region Development Authority to enhance the region\u2019s status as a global tourist destination that attracts visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom throughout the year to enjoy its unique heritage and culture, its enchanting nature, and the hospitality and warmth of its authentic community.\u201d His Excellency the Minister added: \u201cWe are proud of the achievements of tourism in the Asir Region, and our ambitions continue to grow; we are also proud of the many historic villages the region is home to, including the village of Rijal Al-Ma\u2019a, which the World Tourism Organization included a few months ago on its list of the world\u2019s best tourist villages.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Fahad Hamid Al-Din, CEO and Board Member of the Saudi Tourism Authority, stated: \u201cWe are working with our private-sector partners\u2014including travel agencies, airlines, and tour operators both domestically and internationally\u2014to design the best offers, packages, products, and tourism experiences to attract tourists from around the world to visit Asir.\u201d He added: \u201cAsir possesses all the necessary tourism elements to be a year-round destination for all visitors from within and outside Saudi Arabia, thanks to its enchanting natural beauty, towering peaks, diverse cultures, and the generosity and hospitality of its people toward all visitors.\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
