His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, revealed that the number of investment opportunities available for the \u201dAl-Ahsa Municipality\u201d on the \u201cFurs\u201d portal reached 362 in 2021, an increase of 53% compared to 2020, with a total value exceeding 275 million riyals. This came during His Excellency\u2019s participation in the Municipal Investment Forum organized by the \u201cAl-Ahsa Municipality,\u201d under the patronage of the Governor of the Eastern Province, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, He highlighted Al-Ahsa\u2019s many investment attractions, including its outstanding infrastructure\u2014such as an airport, a railway, and roads connecting it to various vital regions within and outside the Kingdom\u2014as well as the region\u2019s natural beauty and agricultural wealth. Al-Ahsa also has a promising future in the Al-Jafurah region, given its natural resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained that the investment opportunities currently available on the \u201cFursat\u201d portal for various regions of the Kingdom exceed 2,400, ranging from investment tenders to leasing opportunities across various sectors, Bidding for these opportunities can be done through simple, automated processes via the \u201cFursat\u201d portal, which brings together more than 25,000 investors; the platform has previously offered more than 23,000 investment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that there is an advisory committee for investment in the municipal sector comprising a select group of private-sector representatives, with the aim of drawing on their expertise to develop the investment framework and attract investors to achieve the development goals of Saudi cities, He noted that investment opportunities available in the Kingdom\u2019s cities and provinces are promoted through the municipal investment platform \u201cFurs\u201d and the Ministry\u2019s social media accounts, Investment opportunities are also showcased through local, regional, and international forums and exhibitions specializing in investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
