A major economic pillar<\/mark><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This was stated in the special interview conducted by the newspaper \u201cAmalak Al-Aqraia\u201d about investing in the tourism real estate sector and related real estate, where he explained that the lodging sector is entirely dependent on the tourism sector, noting that tourism investment is one of the most important pillars of the economies of major countries as it contributes to supporting and developing the economy as a whole, hence the importance of investing in this sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A strategy to attract tourism investment<\/mark><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The interpreter emphasized the importance of <\/strong>Developing a national strategy concerned with attracting tourism investment and overseeing its implementation, and cooperating with external stakeholders such as (Ministry of Commerce<\/a>Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Investment<\/a>The Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to support investors, in order to keep pace with the renaissance taking place in the Kingdom, and called for greater attention to the global quality standards of the sector and to place them within the comprehensive plan for the development of tourist sites based on the general strategy for the development of national tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourism boosted the activity of shelter centers<\/mark><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the feasibility of investing in the tourism accommodation sector, the CEO explained that the increase in tourism activity in the Kingdom stimulates investment in accommodation facilities, which undoubtedly leads to raising operating rates and increasing the profits of the invested projects. He emphasized that the Kingdom has achieved numerous achievements in the field of tourism; it has become attractive to large numbers of tourists and visitors from within the Kingdom and from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Heib said that the high cost of operating and maintaining serviced apartments and training the human resources working in them constitute an obstacle to developing this sector, compared to the low income level in it, especially in dire circumstances such as the Corona pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of his speech, the General Manager of the Maramid Crown Hotel called for strengthening investment efforts in domestic tourism by developing the competitive tourism industry by developing and preserving tourist and archaeological sites and facilities, and by creating a tourism information database using geographic information technologies. He emphasized the need to raise citizens\u2019 awareness of the importance of tourism as a tool for investing in the country\u2019s cultural and historical heritage resources; here comes the role of the private sector in achieving balanced tourism development in the Kingdom; it possesses efficient management and extensive experience in investment fields that enable it to provide tourism goods and services at competitive prices, in addition to possessing vast capital that enables it to invest in the tourism sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most important facilities necessary to attract investment in the tourism sector<\/mark><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Developing and preserving tourist and archaeological sites and facilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Expanding the scope of public and private investments and tourism activities to cover various regions of the Kingdom in order to increase job opportunities in the regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Strengthening the role of tourism in supporting opportunities for interaction between the Kingdom and other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Attention to diversifying tourist sites such as heritage hotels, eco-lodges and rural retreats, time-sharing facilities, entertainment cities, diving centers, organizing tours and events and tourism festivals, as well as investing in traditional crafts and industries, tourism transportation, and tourist guiding services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
