Announced Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources<\/a><\/strong><\/span> The application phase for investment opportunities for 12 building materials quarry licenses to compete in the new Jeddah Governorate Crusher Complex in the Makkah region, located approximately 20 kilometers east of Jeddah Governorate in the west of the Makkah-Madinah highway.<\/p>\n

It said in a statement that the licenses offered for competition include: 5 ore licenses and 7 aggregates licenses, while applications were accepted from January 30 to February 16 of this year.<\/p>\n

Through this announcement, the ministry aims to organize the procedures for the competition process to obtain Building Materials Quarry Licenses<\/a><\/strong><\/span>The program aims to promote transparency and justice in mining tenders, support investors and promote investment in the mining sector, in addition to encouraging national industries and contributing to the development of local content.<\/p>\n

She explained Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources<\/a><\/strong><\/span> The announcement of the competition and the clarification of the conditions, requirements, qualification results and the names of the winners will be through the \u201cmining platform\u201d, and that it will work to qualify the results of the competitors based on the requirements and conditions of the announced competition, adding that the applicant must attach the documents and requirements for the qualification criteria and conditions via the \u201cmining platform\u201d as announced, and the date for receiving applications during the period from January 30 to February 16, 2023.<\/p>\n

According to the ministry, the stages of the competition include announcing the completion of the receipt of the qualification requirements to enter the competition within the statutory period, then announcing the names of the qualified competitors to enter the auction, then launching the bidding process for the 12 licenses, and finally announcing the results and the names of the winning companies.<\/p>\n

The Ministry explained that the geology of the complex is divided into two parts: The northern part is a series of low to medium-height hills, and it follows the geology of the Batahan Formation, consisting of conglomeratic sedimentary rocks containing (mudmelkat) and pebbles of different sizes and types, topped by deposits belonging to the Tertiary era The central and southern part is a series of low to medium-height hills, geologically belonging to the Daghbaj complex, and exposed by diorite rocks, which are characterized by being blocky and interrupted by breakers of andesite rocks.<\/p>\n

The ministry emphasized that it has worked to monitor and regulate the work carried out to ensure that it does not result in harmful effects on security, safety and health, and does not cause damage to the surrounding environment or property, through the enactment of controls and obligations.<\/p>\n
