Concluded Architecture and Design Authority<\/a><\/strong><\/span>On Saturday, the first edition of the Designathon, which was held in Riyadh, crowned the winners of the three tracks of the challenge, namely Design for Healthy Living, Design for Community Impact and Design for Sustainability: Design for Healthy Living, Design for Community Impact, and Design for Sustainability.<\/p>\n More than 500 participants took part in the initiative over the course of three days, submitting several creations within the specific tracks of the competition, which aims to develop innovative solutions in the design sector, seek solutions to global challenges, and raise awareness of the importance of the concept of participatory design.<\/p>\n Out of these participants, 30 teams qualified for the final stage and presented their designs to a jury that selected the winners of the three tracks.<\/p>\n On the design track for public health, the first place was won by Sabeel team and was awarded a prize of 100,000 riyals, while the second place went to Mamtar team and was awarded 50,000 riyals, and finally, the third place was won by Step by Step team and was awarded 25,000 riyals. .<\/p>\n In the design track to achieve social impact, the first place was won by Ahlam Team and was awarded 100,000 riyals, the second place went to Rans Team and was awarded 50,000 riyals, and finally the third place was won by Hayak Team and was awarded 25,000 riyals.<\/p>\n In the Design for Sustainability track, the first place was won by the tag team, which was awarded a prize of 100,000 riyals, while the second place went to the \u201dTable Mo1\u201c team, which was awarded 50,000 riyals, and finally the third place was won by the \u201dWaste No more\" team, which was awarded 25,000 riyals.<\/p>\n Designathon provided an opportunity for the participating teams to benefit from experts in these fields through a rich program of talks and workshops, focusing on applying the concept of \u201cparticipatory design\u201d by diversifying the specialties of the team members to have design backgrounds and other supporting backgrounds such as technology, sociology, statistics, engineering, medicine, and others.<\/p>\n The CEO emphasized Architecture and Design Authority<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>Saudi Arabia's Dr. Sumaya Al Sulaiman said that more than 500 participants have directly contributed to the advancement of the sector by exploring the challenges, forming a team that brings together different backgrounds that promote the concept of participatory design, and solving these challenges using design thinking methodology, which will inspire unconventional forms of solutions expected from such a community.<\/p>\n On the first day, the Authority organized an introductory session on each track, and another session entitled \u201cDesign Thinking Methodology\u201d, while on the second day, workshops were offered on the design thinking methodology, and on the third and
