{"id":55632,"date":"2023-04-04T11:39:35","date_gmt":"2023-04-04T08:39:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/?p=55632"},"modified":"2023-04-04T11:39:35","modified_gmt":"2023-04-04T08:39:35","slug":"%d9%82%d9%8a%d9%85%d8%a9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%b9%d9%82%d9%88%d8%af-%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%86%d9%85%d9%88%d8%b0%d8%ac%d9%8a%d8%a9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%a8%d8%b1%d9%85%d8%a9-%d9%81%d9%8a-%d9%85%d9%82%d8%a7%d9%88","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/55632\/","title":{"rendered":"Muqawal's model contracts have exceeded SAR 300 million since launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Announced <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/sca.sa\">Saudi Contractors Authority<\/a><\/span> Regarding the scope and details of the standard electronic construction contracts entered into in <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/muqawil.org\/ar\">Contractor Platform<\/a><\/strong><\/span>; which has exceeded 1,000 electronic model contracts valued at more than 308 million Saudi riyals since the service was launched in 2021.<br \/>\nThe electronic model contracts concluded varied in nature and location of execution; the number of contracts for structural work excluding materials reached 600, while the number of contracts for structural work including materials reached 300.<br \/>\nThe value of the highest contract signed on the Muqawwal platform exceeded 50 million riyals, while the platform recorded 10,000 riyals as the lowest value for a typical contract signed.<br \/>\nThe total number of contracts in the Central Region exceeded 425, in the Southern Region more than 185, and in the Western Region more than 110, while the Eastern Region recorded more than 90 contracts, and in the Northern Region, 20 contracts, including structural work, plastering, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC contracts.<br \/>\nAnd it was <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/35075\/\">Saudi Contractors Authority<\/a><\/strong><\/span> The Electronic Model Contracts Initiative was launched to improve the quality of construction, and to protect the rights of all contracting parties through 36 electronic model contracts covering all technical and legal aspects, which make the contractual relationship between owners, contractors, and subcontractors clearer, while also raising performance standards, and minimizing failures and disputes that could cause projects to stall or be delayed.<br \/>\nThe model contracts consist of a main contract document that outlines the parties\u2019 obligations, payment schedules and quantities, and late payment penalties, as well as two annexes\u2014one for technical specifications and methods of execution, and the other for terms and conditions related to payment mechanisms tied to the percentage of work completed and a warranty for the work performed.
