The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, represented by its Training Center, in collaboration with the Contracting Committee, organized the \u201cSupport and Empowerment\u201d initiative Contracting sector<\/a><\/strong> \"2023\"; aimed at developing the skills of private-sector employees, with the participation of a number of employees from companies specializing in the construction sector in the region, and attended by Hamad Al-Hammad, a member of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce\u2019s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Construction Committee, and Secretary-General Abdulrahman Al-Wabel.<\/p>\n

The initiative included a program titled \u201cArbitration Mechanisms in Construction Contracts,\u201d which aimed to explore the legal nature and dispute resolution methods for construction contracts and their ancillary agreements in the presence of an arbitration clause, as well as how to address contractual issues and related procedures in cases involving multiple parties, It also discusses the nature of construction contracts and ancillary contracts, the proper way to agree to arbitration, the key challenges related to construction contract disputes, arbitration procedures in construction contracts, the extent to which the arbitration clause applies to third parties, and practical exercises.<\/p>\n
