Caring for Artificial Intelligence<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

According to a recent report, \u201cBuilding Strong Responsible AI Programs as Third-Party AI Tools Spread,\u201d 16% of organizations in the Middle East have responsible AI policies, processes, and\/or methodologies in place across the entire organization.<\/p>\n

Industry-leading organizations<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

According to the global survey, 25% organizations are leading the way in responsible AI, while 75% organizations are lagging behind, highlighting the urgent need for most organizations in the region to redouble their efforts to invest in this area.<\/p>\n

Relying on smart gadgets<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

The vast majority (78%) of organizations surveyed in the global survey rely heavily on third-party AI tools, exposing them to a range of risks, including reputational damage, loss of customer trust, financial losses, regulatory penalties, compliance challenges, and litigation. However, 1\/5 of organizations fail to adequately assess their risks when using third-party AI tools.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Compliance with regulations<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

Only 38% of organizations have shown a willingness to comply with AI regulations, highlighting the need for increased awareness and readiness to adopt new technologies. The regulatory landscape is evolving almost as fast as AI, with many new AI regulations being implemented on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n

AI Priorities<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

Most organizations (84%) consider AI as one of their top priorities, and organizations that adhere to relevant laws and regulations represent 13% of the leading responsible AI organizations, compared to those that do not adhere to these regulations. These organizations also exhibit fewer AI failures than their counterparts that are not adhering to the same regulatory standards (32% vs. 38%).<\/p>\n

Five recommendations for rapid change<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The report outlines five recommendations for organizations on their journey toward rapid adoption of responsible AI and avoiding the inherent risks associated with it:<\/p>\n

  1. Move quickly to adopt mature programs for responsible AI.<\/li>\n
  2. Properly evaluate third-party tools.<\/li>\n
  3. Take action to prepare for emerging regulations.<\/li>\n
  4. Engage CEOs in responsible AI efforts to maximize success.<\/li>\n
  5. Redouble efforts and invest in responsible AI.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
