Announced Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources<\/a><\/strong>About the increase in the number of factories that obtained the environmental permit from 18% at the beginning of 2021 to reach 72% at the end of the second half of 2023.<\/p>\n

The ministry explained that the number of factories that obtained the environmental permit reached (7,239), stressing that obtaining the environmental permit is a fundamental requirement for granting industrial licensing; in implementation of the Cabinet decision to include environmental permits as basic requirements for issuing licenses to conduct activities with an environmental impact.<\/p>\n

Promoting the sustainability of the industrial sector<\/h3>\n

and indicated Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources<\/a><\/strong> This increase reflects the ministry's efforts to protect the environment and promote sustainability in the industrial sector, as it has ensured the provision of the necessary facilities for factories to obtain the environmental permit, including coordination with the competent authorities to develop solutions for any challenges they may face in this regard.<\/p>\n

The ministry confirmed its continued commitment to increasing the percentage of factories that are committed to obtaining the environmental permit, and to achieving the objectives of environmental sustainability in the industrial sector, calling on those factories that have not obtained the environmental permit to expedite the process by completing the procedures through the website of the National Center for the Supervision of Environmental Compliance.<\/p>\n
