His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqeel<\/a> <\/strong>The housing program, which aims to reach 70% home ownership by 2030, is based on 4 foundations, namely providing housing that suits the income of citizens and their different categories, providing available financing for residential ownership, and that the regulations and legislation in the real estate sector are clear, and that the experience or journey of ownership or the journey of searching for a home is easy and easy, indicating that the number of beneficiaries of developmental housing services reached 32 thousand guarantor families.<\/p>\n

Building a sustainable ecosystem\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

During his participation in a panel discussion titled \u201cSustainable Development\u201d as part of the 2024 Budget Forum<\/strong><\/a>The housing system went through several stages aimed at building a sustainable system that achieves the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as the rate of housing ownership for citizens reached 60% during the first phase of the housing program until 2020, while the number of beneficiaries of housing programs reached more than 1.5 million families until 2023.<\/p>\n

He said: The ministry is proud of the presence of a large number of Saudi developers, and aims to attract developers from outside the Kingdom to focus on residential suburbs where the ministry adopts the slogan \u201chousing and more\u201d at this stage, stressing that work will continue to enhance the real estate supply in proportion to the income of Saudi families, especially in cities that are witnessing a rise in prices.<\/p>\n

Raising the quality of services in cities and humanizing them\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

On the municipal sector and the humanization of cities, Al-Haqeel explained that cities in their urban, economic, cultural and social dimensions have a major role in achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030, stressing the ministry's keenness to raise the quality of services in cities, humanize them, upgrade them and remove visual distortions in them, noting that the ministry worked with a number of ministries and relevant authorities to identify more than 43 elements of visual distortion to address them, indicating that the recent survey in Saudi cities witnessed a 3% increase in the feasibility of addressing visual distortion.<\/p>\n

His Excellency pointed out that 58% of the Kingdom's population clusters contain parks, as the ministry was keen for residents to reach parks in residential neighborhoods within 800 meters, pointing out that work has begun to develop sidewalks and add urban interventions in neighborhoods to create public spaces that contribute to enhancing communication between citizens and humanizing cities.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the percentage of allocation in municipal and housing services reached 19% in 2023, noting that the ministry aims to reach 30% in 2024 and 70% in municipal and housing services by 2030.<\/p>\n

32 thousand families have benefited from developmental housing\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Regarding the social responsibility sector, the minister emphasized that the number of beneficiaries of developmental housing services reached 32,000 guaranteed families, including 17,000 families who owned their homes during 2023, while the number of volunteers in the municipal sector reached more than 300,000 male and female volunteers within the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to reach one million volunteers. He pointed out that the ministry succeeded in collecting more than 1.5 billion through the Good Housing platform last Ramadan.<\/p>\n

His Excellency drew attention to the Ministry's launch of the Grace Preservation Foundation as a contribution to preserving surplus food that is not fit for use while optimizing the investment of wasted resources and ensuring their sustainability, stressing the continuation of work in the Foundation for Honoring the Dead to increase the efficiency of the association by helping families alleviate the suffering and provide services in honor of the dead.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
