Many people are now looking into the requirements for obtaining a license, especially since the era of unregulated practice in the field of real estate consulting and analysis has come to an end, following the publication of a regulatory ordinance that requires real estate consultants and analysts to obtain a license to practice their profession.<\/p>\n

Requirements for Obtaining a License<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The following conditions apply for a license to engage in an activity: Real Estate Consulting<\/a> <\/strong>The applicant must be a Saudi national or a resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The applicant must be at least twenty-five years old and hold a university degree in a field related to real estate, or its equivalent.<\/p>\n

Applicants must also have completed at least one training course in real estate consulting organized by the Saudi Real Estate Institute, be of good character and conduct, and not have been convicted of a crime under Sharia law. This excludes those convicted of a crime involving dishonesty or breach of trust, unless their reputation has been restored.<\/p>\n

Another requirement for obtaining the license is that the applicant must hold a university degree in certain fields, such as economics, engineering, finance, and business administration; applicants for consulting positions must also have at least 3 years of experience. For real estate analysis, 10 years of experience in real estate activities is required. The Authority reviews the application, and if the applicant meets the necessary requirements, the Authority issues the license.<\/p>\n

Accredited Rehabilitation Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The General Real Estate Authority has also launched an accredited training program for obtaining a license to practice real estate consulting and analysis, which includes 14 training courses covering various aspects of the real estate industry, such as the basics of real estate investment. These include real estate market analysis and property valuation, as well as real estate financing and marketing.<\/p>\n

Program Duration<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The training program lasts 6 weeks and is offered in person four times a year.<\/p>\n
