And national targets<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Hani Khashoggi<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>We Saudis have the right to be happy about the global progress achieved by the Kingdom in all fields, which was witnessed by the country's regions without exception, and felt by citizens, residents and followers on the ground. We also have the right to be proud of our leadership and our people who voluntarily took the path of change and modernization, in conjunction with the announcement of Vision 2030 seven years ago, and achieved much brilliance and success, as witnessed by international organizations.<\/p>\n<p>I felt this content when I listened to the annual royal speech delivered by His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the opening of the fourth year of the eighth session of the Shura Council on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. His Highness was enumerating before the members of the Council and citizens the series of achievements that the Kingdom has achieved in the past years of the ambitious vision and promises another series of achievements in the coming years, painting a vivid and beautiful picture of the Kingdom's future and its international position among major countries.<\/p>\n<p>I do not exaggerate if I emphasize that the annual royal speech at the Shura Council was followed by many at home and abroad, for no other reason than that it reflects the Kingdom's domestic and foreign policy, and constitutes a roadmap, on which the Shura Council follows at a steady pace, to chart the features of the next stage that the Council deals with through the lofty contents on all internal and external, regional and international levels; the speech is also a constitution that the Council follows in performing its mission in serving the homeland and the citizen, in addition to that, the speech reflects the wise leadership's recognition of the national role played by the Council in proposing regulations and laws and developing the structure of the country.<\/p>\n<p>The first is that the Kingdom, under the umbrella of the vision, has made its decision to change, modernize and keep pace with everything new; (second) any modernization in the Kingdom must touch the sky and start from where others have finished; (third) the Kingdom has achieved many of the aspirations announced in the vision, which would not have seen the light of day, had it not been for the mechanism followed by the Crown Prince to motivate the citizen to be the backbone of this change and achieve the desired goals; and (fourth) the Kingdom has achieved many achievements to date.
