{"id":62095,"date":"2024-01-10T17:15:53","date_gmt":"2024-01-10T14:15:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/?p=62095"},"modified":"2025-11-26T21:03:00","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T21:03:00","slug":"%d9%85%d8%a4%d8%aa%d9%85%d8%b1-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%aa%d8%b9%d8%af%d9%8a%d9%86-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%af%d9%88%d9%84%d9%8a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/62095\/","title":{"rendered":"The third edition of the International Mining Conference kicks off in Riyadh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the third edition of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/61625\/\">International Mining Conference<\/a> <\/strong>at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh for two days.<\/p>\n<p>During his opening speech, HE Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef stressed the keenness of the wise leadership - may Allah support them - for the success of the conference and its achievement of the desired goals for the world, praising the active participation and attendance of a number of leaders and decision-makers in the industrial sector from different countries of the world.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>The value of the Kingdom's estimated mineral wealth rises<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>His Excellency announced that the value of the estimated mineral resources in the Kingdom increased by 90% to reach the equivalent of 9.375 trillion riyals, compared to the estimates announced in 2016, which at that time amounted to 5 trillion riyals.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that this increase is additional quantities that include new discoveries of rare earth elements and transition metals, as well as significant increases in phosphate ore, and other metals such as: Copper, zinc, gold, and other minerals, as well as a reassessment of fair prices.<\/p>\n<p>His Excellency pointed out that the results announced are the result of the efforts made during the past years in exploration and mining geological survey operations, in addition to the great efforts in issuing mineral exploration licenses, which have quadrupled during the past three years, compared to the number of licenses during the six years before the issuance of the new mining investment system, which contributed to raising the amount of spending on exploration from 70 riyals to 180 riyals per square kilometer, which confirms the feasibility of investing in mining exploration operations.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>30% of geological survey work completed in the Arabian Shield<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>And it was <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mim.gov.sa\/mim\/\">Ministry of Industry and Mineral Revolution <\/a><\/strong>has announced the completion of 30% of geological survey work in the 700,000 square kilometer Arabian Shield region, the results of which will be available on the national geological database on a volume estimated at more than 10 terabytes, as an incentive for investment in the field of mining.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative of the General Program for Geological Survey aims to raise the quality of data and accuracy of geological maps to enhance and facilitate the exploration of mineral resources in the Kingdom and achieve optimal exploitation of them as a result of the development of the new mining investment system, to make the mining sector the third pillar of the national industry in the Kingdom, in accordance with the objectives of the comprehensive strategy for mining and mining industries and the National Industry Development and Logistics Program.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">Minutes<\/span><\/span>Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the third edition of the International Mining Conference kicked off today at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh.
