His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ahmed bin Aqil Al-Khatib, stated during his participation in Future of Real Estate Forum<\/a><\/strong> The Kingdom\u2019s expansion in the implementation of major projects aims to develop the tourism sector, attract investment, and compete for the 1.7 billion tourists worldwide who are seeking experiences that the Kingdom has to offer.<\/p>\n

Speaking today during a panel discussion titled \u201cLeading the Transformation in the Real Estate Industry\u201d as part of the Future of Real Estate Forum, that the Kingdom aims, through major projects, to attract 150 million visitors by 2030, with the tourism sector targeting a contribution of 750 billion riyals to the national economy.<\/p>\n

Entry into Major Hotels<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The Minister of Tourism noted that the quality of upcoming projects related to hospitality facilities is very high, whether in hotels or resorts; noting that the ministry has signed multiple agreements with major hotel chains, ensuring that the Kingdom will have the finest hospitality facilities available.<\/p>\n

He stated during his participation in the panel discussion At the Future of Real Estate Forum<\/a><\/strong> He noted that all unlicensed facilities and those providing substandard services\u2014including more than 250 hotels in Makkah\u2014were closed in 2023, emphasizing the Ministry\u2019s commitment to raising the quality of services provided.<\/p>\n

Achievements of the Tourism Sector\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

His Excellency noted that the achievements in the tourism sector confirm the success of the strategies and plans that have been put in place, pointing out that in 2023, the tourism sector\u2019s contribution to gross domestic product rose to 4.5%, and 7% of total oil output, in addition to creating numerous jobs.<\/p>\n
