The Supreme Committee for Developmental Housing celebrated the achievements of the developmental housing sector and the story of integration and fruitful partnership between the ministries of \u201cMunicipality and Housing\u201d<\/a> <\/strong>The program has enabled more than 19,000 Saudi families in need to own their own homes by 2023, within integrated residential communities and suburbs in different regions of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The ceremony, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Interior, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, in the presence of a number of stakeholders in the housing system and the non-profit sector, reviewed the achievements made during the past year and highlighted the solutions and facilities provided to the neediest families to enable them to own suitable housing.<\/p>\n

The ceremony also addressed the impact of the effective partnership with associations and the non-profit sector to provide services to beneficiary families in all regions of the Kingdom, in addition to the support and empowerment programs that have been provided within the \u201cRawafed\u201d program and its role in serving families to become more effective in society through a number of various rehabilitation and training programs.<\/p>\n

Achieving Developmental Housing Targets<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The integrated efforts of the partner organizations have empowered more than 400 charitable and civil societies to contribute to achieving the goals of the Developmental housing<\/a><\/strong>The role of associations in providing the neediest families with access to suitable housing and converting them from the usufruct system to ownership, as the associations undertake the tasks of communication, visit families, help them identify suitable housing, follow up the delivery processes, and manage and operate the housing units, which contributed to achieving social and economic stability for the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing for the Third Sector and Community Participation, Talal bin Mohammed Al-Khunaini, praised the integrated partnership between the relevant parties, within one of the files that the state - may Allah support it - pays great attention to and continuous follow-up in order to overcome obstacles for the neediest families by providing and making available various services, the most important of which is the provision of appropriate housing for them.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cThe partnership has resulted in achieving the goals we are working on, including the ownership of more than 19,000 social security families in 2023 in various cities and governorates, and we aim this year to reach more than 25,000 families between ownership and utilization.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Sustainability of the Developmental Housing Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Al-Khanini concluded his speech by thanking the Council of Ministers for the decision issued at its session last Tuesday, which aims to increase the ownership rates of guarantors and enhance the sustainability of the development housing program by pumping additional housing units and various solutions that serve various categories, noting that this decision will contribute to stimulating the non-profit sector and increasing its contributions to achieve the goals and aspirations.<\/p>\n

For his part, Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kridis, Secretary General of Sakan, praised the efforts made by the partner organizations in the Supreme Committee for Development Housing, which contributed to enabling the neediest families to own their own homes and provide them with family stability.<\/p>\n

In his speech on behalf of the associations, Namaa's Director General Faisal bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamid thanked the partners for their efforts in overcoming all the challenges facing the associations, enabling them to perform their role to the fullest, looking forward to the continued support from the partner organizations to enable the needy to own their homes.<\/p>\n

Abdullah bin Murshid Al Mubarak, General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Development Housing, and Aisha Mohammed Al Shubaili, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ataa and Nama Association, also reviewed the efforts of the Rawafed initiative to serve the neediest families, which provided many programs to qualify the beneficiaries to be more effective in society.<\/p>\n

The 2023 Developmental Housing Achievements Ceremony witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Ministry's Agency for Third Sector and Community Engagement and Al-Nasban Guarding Company under the Rawafed Initiative to provide 1,000 jobs for families benefiting from the developmental housing program.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing continues its efforts with its partners in the governmental, private and non-profit sectors to provide adequate housing and find the necessary solutions to facilitate the ownership of housing units by the neediest families within various options and solutions, in addition to enhancing the participation of community members in supporting the provision of housing for families within the \u201cGood Housing\u201d platform to achieve social security, in order to achieve the objectives of the housing program by raising the ownership rate for Saudi families to 70% by 2030.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
