On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi inaugurated Governor of Jeddah<\/a><\/strong> \u201cMODON Oasis in Jeddah, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of MODON, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, and the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, Engineer Majid bin Rafid Al-Arqobi.<\/p>\n

After that, His Highness and the attendees watched a visual presentation on the industrial cities in Jeddah Governorate.<\/p>\n

Signing contracts and memorandums of understanding\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

After that, His Highness witnessed the signing of a number of contracts and memorandums of understanding, including a cooperation agreement between Codon and Nadlab to allocate sites to establish integrated business centers in industrial cities in Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh through the \u201cThe Shop Floor\u201d initiative, which includes shared work spaces for members of the Thousand Miles community, and practical and theoretical training programs in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).<\/p>\n

MODON and Jeddah University also signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance strategic cooperation in the fields of engineering, manufacturing and advanced technologies to serve the industrial sector and exchange experiences, as well as implement training programs to qualify human cadres for the labor market, in addition to signing a memorandum of understanding with Jamjoom Pharma Academy to implement joint training and development programs covering the pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical manufacturing and health sciences sectors.<\/p>\n

MODON also concluded a number of allocation contracts, including the allocation of 85,000 square meters of logistics land to establish a 24-megawatt data center to enable digital infrastructure based on the applications of the fourth industrial revolution, the allocation of a 3,000 square meter prefabricated factory to manufacture alternative tobacco products with an investment of SAR 200 million, the allocation of a 1,500 square meter prefabricated factory to localize the manufacture of orthopedic devices and metal parts fixed to bones with an investment of SAR 50 million, and the signing of a 400 square meter ready-made factory to produce renewable energy with an investment of 7 million riyals.<\/p>\n

Modon Oasis in Jeddah\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The launch of Oasis Modon in Jeddah<\/a><\/strong>It includes 3.3 million square meters of developed areas and 86 industrial, investment and logistics contracts, in line with the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy and within the framework of the initiatives entrusted to Modon in the National Industry and Logistics Development Program (NIDLIP), in addition to the initiatives entrusted to Modon in the National Industry and Logistics Development Program (NIDLIP).<\/p>\n

Modon Oasis in Jeddah is witnessing the implementation of a package of infrastructure development projects, including the construction of road, electricity and water networks, the application of medium voltage firefighting techniques, treated water, as well as a sewage treatment plant, in order to establish a competitive and sustainable industrial city, characterized by its logistical location in the middle of the eastern coast of the Red Sea in the west of the Kingdom, and its proximity to the road network, urban area, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Abdullah Port in the economic city, achieving integration between the two industrial cities and promoting trade exchange movement.<\/p>\n
