Announced New Square Development Company<\/a><\/strong> has announced the preparation of a comprehensive study to implement Smart cities<\/a> <\/strong>Scheduled to be released within six months, it will focus on developing an innovative hub for seamless mobility through the adoption of autonomous vehicles, automated parking, and electric vehicle recharging stations. It also revealed the renewable energy solutions, urban energy efficiency, and advanced food production technology, including vertical farms and sustainable agricultural technologies, that are included in the new square destination.<\/p>\n

This came during the New Square Development Company, one of the Public Investment Fund's companies, which hosted the \u201dNew Square Partners Forum\u201d in Riyadh on May 28 and 29, 2024, with the participation of a variety of suppliers and partners.<\/p>\n

The forum reviewed the huge investment opportunities in this transformative destination in the heart of Riyadh. It provided an interactive platform to discuss opportunities for cooperation on the future of the New Square, and provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the master plan for the new visionary destination, which sets ambitious goals and paves the way for the transformation of downtown Riyadh, creating a world-class smart city that includes innovative infrastructure, advanced technologies and sustainable practices.<\/p>\n

Speakers at the event provided an overview of the implementation of the new square destination, which will include 18 unique communities around the iconic Cube landmark, with an ambitious timeline showing full construction starting in 2025.<\/p>\n

The stages of the work were reviewed, highlighting the investment opportunities available to develop basic infrastructure, transportation, and service facilities through public-private partnerships (PPP).<\/p>\n
