#800000;\"><strong>The most notable amendments include:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:65\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:65\">Increase the building coverage ratio for the ground and first floors of residential villas from 70% to 75%.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"8:1-8:134\">Separate floors in residential villas so that each floor is a separate residential unit with its own entrance, and provide one parking space for each residential unit within the property boundaries.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:99\">Remove the front fence of the villas facing the street and convert the front setback area into parking spaces.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"10:1-10:161\">It is mandatory to provide at least one parking space within the property boundaries for each residential villa with an area of 400 square meters or less, and two parking spaces for villas with an area exceeding 400 square meters.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:129\">To permit the ground floor of multi-story residential buildings to be designated for parking, without counting it toward the required number of stories.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"12:1-12:58\">Increase the housing ratio in the upper extensions of villas to 70%.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"13:1-13:130\">Permit the use of basements for residential purposes in villas and apartment buildings, provided that natural ventilation and lighting are provided in accordance with the requirements of the Saudi Building Code.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"14:1-14:110\">The requirement that the bedroom for the driver and domestic workers be at least 2.1 square meters wide and have an area of at least 6.5 square meters.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:79\">It is prohibited to install air conditioning units and wiring of any kind on facades facing main roads and streets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"17:1-17:165\">These amendments aim to improve the quality of life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, provide a more comfortable
