I started Royal Commission for Riyadh City<\/a><\/strong>In the implementation of the program to develop the axes of circular and main roads in the city of Riyadh, and the award of four projects that include the \u201cfirst group\u201d of the program at a cost of more than 13 billion riyals, provided that the award of contracts for the projects of the subsequent phases of the program will be announced during the coming period, God willing.<\/p>\n

Objectives of the development of circular and main road axes<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The program aims to develop Road axes<\/a><\/strong> In addition to strengthening the city's transportation system, activating the connectivity between its parts, preparing it to be a major center in providing sustainable transportation and logistics services in the Middle East, and elevating the capital to the leading position it deserves as one of the world's major metropolises, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs.<\/p>\n

Projects in the first group of development\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The \u201cGroup I\u201d projects of this program include the following methods:
\nThe second southern ring road project, with a length of 56 kilometers, extending from New Al-Kharj Road in the east to Jeddah Road in the west, and includes four lanes for the main road in each direction and three lanes for the service road in each direction, as well as the implementation of 10 major intersections and the construction of 32 bridges.
\nA four-kilometer-long project to implement two bridges parallel to the suspension bridge (Wadi Laban Bridge) and develop the intersection of the Western Ring Road with Jeddah Road, which includes the implementation of two bridges parallel to the existing (suspension) bridge, and the construction of four bridges at the intersection of the Western Ring Road with Jeddah Road.
\nDeveloping the western part of the Thumama Road axis, with a length of six kilometers, extending from King Khalid Road in the west to King Fahd Road in the east.
\nA 16-kilometer-long project that extends from the western end of Taif Road in the Laban neighborhood to the Qiddiya project, with a length of 16 kilometers.<\/p>\n

Traffic flow\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

In order to Royal Commission for Riyadh City<\/a><\/strong> In order to maximize the flow of traffic on the roads that will witness the implementation of these projects, a plan has been developed to manage traffic diversions on these roads, in partnership with the concerned agencies in the city.<\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that the \u201cRiyadh Main Ring Road Axis Development Program,\u201d which was announced by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, may God protect him, was launched in 1441 AH, and the implementation of its first set of projects has begun, including the implementation and development of more than 500 km of the road network in the city by adding new roads and upgrading the existing main axes and activating their linkage with each other.<\/p>\n

Keeping up with the growing population\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The program will contribute to achieving a number of major returns for the city of Riyadh, its residents and visitors, most notably: Keeping pace with the increasing population growth and major quality projects in the city, guiding urban development in the city, meeting its current and future mobility needs, connecting its parts and facilitating traffic movement, increasing the average speed of traffic and reducing travel times on the road network within the city, accommodating transit traffic through the axial road network, facilitating access to areas where major quality projects are being implemented, improving the quality of life in the city, enhancing its economic, urban, environmental, cultural and tourism status, and raising its competitiveness as a preferred destination for tourists.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
