Tatweer announced King Salman International Airport<\/a><\/strong> a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, announced the signing of strategic partnerships with four leading local and international architecture, engineering, construction, and air traffic management companies to begin a new phase in the development of King Salman International Airport to become a hub for tourism, travel, and transportation in Riyadh and the region.<\/p>\n

Foster & Partners, an award-winning architecture and engineering firm, will design the master plan for the airport, which will cover a total area of 57 square kilometers and include multiple terminals and six runways, as well as a multi-asset real estate district. The airport design will reflect Riyadh's identity and mimic Saudi culture to provide a unique travel experience for visitors and travelers.<\/p>\n

The engineering firm Jacobs will provide specialized consulting services for the detailed master plan of the airport and the design of the new runways, while Mace, a leading consultancy and construction company, will apply global best practices, innovations and advanced methodologies throughout the planning and construction phases, and Nera, a Saudi company specialized in technical and operational solutions for aviation, will oversee the design of the airspace to enhance air traffic efficiency and improve operational processes using the latest technologies.<\/p>\n

The collaboration comes as an important step in the process of establishing and developing KSIA as an exceptional destination for travelers to have a seamless and enjoyable experience.<\/p>\n

The master plan for the airport was announced in November 2022 by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
