Model contracts<\/a><\/strong> is an initiative of Saudi Contractors Authority<\/a><\/strong> Through its implementation, it aims to build electronic model contracts ready for use by contractors, individuals and subcontractors, in order to regulate the contractual relationship between the parties in small and medium-sized projects, and to preserve the rights of contractors and owners alike, by reducing points of disagreement, dispute and legal issues as well as raising the quality of implementation, including all legal and technical aspects related to project details and is available to all contractors registered in KDIPA.<\/p>\n

Organizing the construction industry\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Model contracts are one of the most important tools for organizing the contracting sector by regulating the contractual relationship between the parties in small and medium-sized projects, and to preserve the rights of contractors and owners. These contracts help to increase the impact of preventive justice and reduce the failure of projects as a result of contractual disputes, reduce the burden on the judicial authorities and reduce disputes, and facilitate the process of contracting, payment and guaranteeing works according to international best practices in a fully electronic manner.<\/p>\n

One of the most important advantages of the model contracts is that they have become a notarized executive document once the contract is accepted by both parties and has authority before the execution courts, reducing the waste of effort on the consideration of the case by the competent courts in the Ministry of Justice, and executed by the Execution Court in the Ministry of Justice.<\/div>\n

This service seeks to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by building a vibrant and effective contracting sector in economic development, achieving international competitiveness in doing business, creating an attractive investment environment, promoting transparency, minimizing disputes, and reducing commercial concealment in the contracting sector.<\/p>\n

The Model Contracts Initiative is one of 22 initiatives overseen by the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing and implemented through the Saudi Contractors Authority, which seeks to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.<\/p>\n

All these model contracts are available electronically to all contractors registered in the Authority, project owners and individuals, where the contract can be created in the contractor platform www.muqawil.org to enter the civil registry number of the project owner and authenticate his identity through the National Access Service to ensure the eligibility of the parties and the integrity of their representation from a legal point of view.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
