Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Future Investment Initiative Conference<\/a><\/strong> in its eighth edition, under the slogan \u201dEndless Horizon. Investing Today to Shape Tomorrow,\u201d at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh.<\/p>\n

He welcomed the CEO of the Future Investment Initiative<\/a> <\/strong>At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Richard Attias welcomed the attendees and participants of the eighth session of the initiative, extending his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his great vision, addressing the previous editions of the Future Investment Initiative Conference and its achievements that contribute to development and growth.<\/p>\n

He explained that the participants in this and previous editions have an important and effective role in making the initiative's editions more impactful to achieve the goals of the conference and realize a more inclusive and sustainable world that provides opportunities for all.<\/p>\n

Richard Attias expressed his ambition to make the eighth edition of the FII conference more impactful to build a better future for all, and looks forward to meeting everyone at the ninth edition of the initiative.<\/p>\n

H.E. Yasser bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Aramco, and Chairman of the Future Investment Initiative Foundation, explained that the initiative has become a transformative force for action, progress, and solutions, and has facilitated more than $125 billion worth of deals, adding that the FII Priority Index launched this week highlights pressing global issues such as economic instability, high cost of living, healthcare disparity, social inequality, and political tension, all of which span across borders.<\/p>\n

The theme of this year's conference embodies endless possibilities for investing and shaping the future, focusing on long-term sustainable investments that address global challenges, foster innovation and provide lasting impact, while prioritizing sectors that drive transformation, from next-generation technologies and healthcare innovations to engaging youth in sports.<\/p>\n

His Excellency said:\u201d \u201dEconomic, social and environmental outcomes are interconnected, and these must be at the heart of decision-making. The world is rich with untapped potential and emerging markets are examples of long-term investments. The growth of emerging market economies is expected to outpace that of developed markets, emphasizing the need for strategic investments in the places that will drive the global economy in the future.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the Kingdom possesses unique resources and a strategic geographical location that prompted it to invest in vital areas such as energy, infrastructure and technology, adding that AI could add $20 trillion to the global economy by 2030, transforming industries, boosting productivity and addressing critical challenges.
\nBy 2027, the role of AI will become a standard economic driver of national power, capable of solving issues and driving productivity that will impact every sector from healthcare to energy.<\/p>\n

He stated that the energy sector embodies a transformative power, noting that major energy players have invested more than 65 billion dollars in low-carbon technologies since 2017, noting that the transition to a zero-neutral economy requires a long-term investment committed to ensuring a just energy transition, balancing current energy needs with a vision for a sustainable future, adding that the goal is not only to fuel economies, but to enable a future that supports energy and wealth for future generations.
