The sessions of the 34th edition of Saudi Construction Exhibition<\/a><\/strong>The event, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, coincides with the 25th edition of the Saudi Elenex exhibition, and features local and international speakers and experts to discuss the future of construction and urban development in the Kingdom, with a focus on sustainability, digital transformation, and the challenges and opportunities facing the construction sector.<\/p>\n

The sessions included workshops and dialogues that addressed important issues in the construction and urban development sector in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The first session began with Saudi Construction Exhibition<\/a><\/strong> The topic of \u201cMega Projects in Saudi Arabia: Challenges and Opportunities\u201d was discussed, addressing the role of smart cities in improving quality of life and promoting sustainability through the use of technology. It also discussed the challenges facing the sector, such as labor shortages and disruptions to supply chains, and reviewed the Kingdom\u2019s efforts to promote local production and investment in building materials, as well as partnership opportunities between local and international companies.<\/p>\n

The second session focused on \u201cThe Future of Urbanization in Saudi Arabia,\u201d emphasizing the importance of innovation and development as key elements in building smart cities, and addressing the role of automation and digital infrastructure in connecting homes and neighborhoods to public services, in addition to discussing energy sustainability and ways to manage it.<\/p>\n

In the Future of Infrastructure section, the third session addressed \u201cInfrastructure Projects Shaping the Future of Riyadh,\u201d focusing on the digitization of infrastructure and the use of advanced technology to achieve the goals of the Kingdom\u2019s Vision 2030, while emphasizing the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors, and leveraging artificial intelligence and big data to develop urban planning.<\/p>\n

The first day\u2019s sessions concluded with the fourth session entitled \u201cConstruction as a Product,\u201d during which a scientific paper reviewed the industrial approach to construction, its benefits in achieving sustainability and reducing costs, and emphasized the importance of industrial construction in Expo 2030, and the need to build more than 300,000 hotel rooms in preparation for the event, with a focus on the advantages of sustainable buildings in reducing operating expenses and increasing asset value for investors.<\/p>\n
