This focus began when the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, assumed the governorship of the city nearly half a century ago, during which time he devoted much of his effort and time to it\u2014may God protect him\u2014a commitment that has made the city an icon of urban development in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>And with the launch of <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vision2030.gov.sa\/\">Vision 2030<\/a><\/strong><\/span>The capital has received increased official attention and care, grounded in science and systematic studies, with the aim of propelling Riyadh to the highest level of qualitative prosperity\u2014a goal that has been achieved in practice, through a package of initiatives and projects launched by the wise leadership, culminating in the Riyadh Metro project, which was inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques last Wednesday. This project can be described, at the very least, as the cornerstone of Riyadh\u2019s public transportation network,\u00a0 and a key component of the city\u2019s transportation system, thanks to the diverse services it provides, which enhance quality-of-life programs\u2014one of the Vision\u2019s objectives.<\/p>\n<p>And because Riyadh deserves all this attention and more, the new train boasts exceptional and appealing features, starting with its unique engineering design, through its high-end design and technical specifications, as well as the project\u2019s extensive network, which includes six train tracks, spanning 176 kilometers, and 85 stations, including 4 main stations, ensuring the best possible service for its users\u2014both citizens and visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The massive development projects Riyadh has witnessed throughout its modern history prompted His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to announce the goals of Vision 2030, which include making the capital one of the world\u2019s top ten economic cities by 2030. This dream is now close to becoming a reality, and the Riyadh public transportation project stands out as the most significant initiative contributing to its achievement\u2014simply because it is based on a number of different studies prepared by the former Riyadh Development Authority, or the \u201cRoyal Commission for Riyadh City\u201d under its new name. These studies focused on the city\u2019s current situation and its present and future public transportation needs, while identifying the best solutions and options for establishing a sustainable public transportation system that is tailored to the city\u2019s reality and its urban, demographic, and traffic characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>What is striking about the results of these studies is that they recommended that there be <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/71998\/\">Rail Transit Network<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and others by bus within the project\u2014a step that looks toward the city\u2019s future and the potential to enhance and harness its capabilities to achieve maximum benefit through a comprehensive, integrated project that meets the current and anticipated transportation needs of the capital, I am not exaggerating when I say that the continued attention to Riyadh at this pace, which everyone can feel, strengthens the city\u2019s standing in the hearts of its residents and visitors and enriches their experience\u2014whether they live there or are just visiting\u2014as well as the experience of business investors and major international companies, which are eager to establish branches in the capital to maximize their profits.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"color:
