They also seek to address multiple challenges, including:<\/p>\n<p>Reduce traffic congestion.<\/p>\n<p>Optimize parking provision.<\/p>\n<p>Increase compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Reducing visual distortion in the urban environment.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>General technical requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Technical requirements include the need to adhere to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply the requirements of the Saudi Building Code and all the requirements of the supervisory authorities, if any.<\/li>\n<li>Execute all works and installations using approved standard materials and specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Approve all design work and supervise implementation from engineering offices accredited by the Ministry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Office and parking requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>For vehicle rental offices located in buildings on commercial streets, the following requirements have been established:<\/p>\n<p>Provide parking spaces of at least 15 square meters per car.<\/p>\n<p>Possibility of contracting with a shelter to provide parking.<\/p>\n<p>Architectural requirements for shelters attached to rental offices<\/p>\n<p>Architectural requirements for shelters include the following:<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Shelter entrances and exits:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The width of the entrance and exit must be at least 3.5 meters.<\/p>\n<p>If one common entrance and exit is used, it must be at least 6 meters wide.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Organizing traffic:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Organize traffic inside the shelter in a smooth manner.<\/p>\n<p>Avoid conflicts between entry and exit traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Use traffic signs and guidelines to direct traffic.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Fences:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Fences must be at least 2.5 meters high.<\/p>\n<p>Fences are solid towards residential neighbors, and no openings are allowed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Umbrellas:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When installing parking lot awnings, the requirements of the Saudi Building Code must be adhered to.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Laundry and maintenance facilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The laundry or light maintenance area should not exceed 30 square meters each, or 10% of the total land area.<\/p>\n<p>Provide isolation systems to minimize the noise generated by the equipment used, in accordance with the executive regulations for noise.<\/p>\n<p>Prevent the discharge of any water or liquids outside the site, while adhering to the requirements of the Saudi Health Code (SBC 701), including the construction of septic tanks within the property boundaries.<\/p>\n<p>Provide a warehouse for equipment and spare parts with an area not exceeding 10 square meters, and dispose of damaged parts by regular means.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">Minutes<\/span><\/span>The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing (MOMH) has released the draft municipal requirements for transportation rental offices through the \u201cExplore\u201d platform, aiming to receive public feedback on them until January 2, 2025.
