The \u201cSustainable construction<\/a><\/strong>\u201dGrowth in the number of projects benefiting from the \u201cSustainability Assessment\u201d service in 2024 compared to last year, with the number reaching 75 projects covering a total area of nearly 47 million m\u00b2, marking a 32% increase over 2023.<\/p>\n

In a press release, the program announced that 11 projects had received a design compliance certificate, marking a 19% increase compared to 2023. The projects were located in (Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Dhahran, and Taif).<\/p>\n

And \u201cSustainable construction<\/a><\/strong>\u201dIn 2024, more than 23,000 quality inspection reports were issued. This service enables prospective buyers or renters of real estate units to verify the quality and safety of a building or construction work through an inspection process conducted by certified inspectors, This applies to both completed buildings and those under construction. \u201cSustainable Construction\u201d stated that, during the second half of last year, the expert service was introduced; This service is provided in conjunction with the Ejar platform, where an expert is called upon to assess the rental unit before and after the lease and to evaluate any damages in the event of a dispute between the parties regarding the assessment of damages.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSustainability Assessment\u201d is the first Saudi assessment system developed in accordance with global best practices aligned with the Saudi Building Code. The system enables property owners and real estate developers to measure the sustainability of new and existing buildings and communities, by applying environmental standards to increase energy and water efficiency, improve quality of life through the provision of parks and essential facilities, and provide safe bike and pedestrian paths.<\/p>\n
