The fourth edition of the International Mining Conference<\/a><\/strong>which will be held from January 14-16, 2025.<\/p>\n

Government representatives from more than 90 countries, including 16 G20 countries, 50 official and non-governmental international organizations, as well as commodity trade associations and senior leaders of the global mining industry are participating in the fourth edition of the conference.<\/p>\n

The conference began with the Fourth International Ministerial Meeting of Ministers in charge of Mining Affairs, which aims to strengthen international cooperation on the production of critical minerals that are involved in the transformation of the energy sector and modern technical industries and lay the foundations for the sustainable development of the minerals industry in the world and the region, in addition to capacity building and empowering the minerals industry as a key driver of economic and social development.<\/p>\n

As part of the International Mining Conference 2025<\/strong>The Fourth International Ministerial Meeting of Ministers of Mining is being held with the participation of government representatives from 89 countries, including 16 G20 countries, as well as 50 international organizations. The meeting will also bring together leaders of the mining industry and global commodity trade associations, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between countries and organizations and discussing the future of the mining sector.<\/p>\n

The meeting is an important platform to discuss ways to develop the sector and enhance its role in the global economy, as well as highlight the challenges and opportunities that mining faces in light of the current economic and environmental shifts.<\/p>\n

The conference is expected to witness the signing of a number of important agreements and memorandums of understanding between government agencies, international and local companies, and financial institutions. This step reflects Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening its position as a leading global center in the mining and minerals sector, and seeks to support international cooperation efforts to achieve sustainable development in this vital sector.<\/p>\n

The agreements to be signed during the conference will cover several key areas including exploration, mining, financing, research and development, innovation, sustainability, as well as value-added chains and mineral industries. These areas are part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to develop the mining sector as a key pillar in its economic diversification efforts.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Ali Al Mutairi, General Supervisor of the International Mining Conference, emphasized the importance of these qualitative agreements in achieving tangible progress in building partnerships and implementing advanced mining projects. He added that the conference has come to be seen as a prestigious international platform that brings together senior officials from around the world, as well as leaders of major mining companies, experts and specialists in the field.<\/p>\n
