He emphasized that these projects represent a major breakthrough for the housing sector, in parallel with major investment plans covering various vital sectors.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Huge housing projects underway<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Al-Khafaji pointed out that most of the companies that were awarded these projects have strong reputations and capabilities, stressing that the committee follows up on the work of these companies, in addition to continuous coordination with relevant bodies, such as the National Investment Commission and the Supreme Committee for Investment and Reconstruction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the coming years, we will witness a qualitative leap in the housing sector, supported by close cooperation between the government, parliament and the investment committee.\u201d This comes as the government announced the construction of six new cities as part of a program to provide 500k housing units over the next five years.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Housing fund: Initiatives to support citizens<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>On a parallel track, the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works announced plans to enhance the role of the Housing Fund in covering the largest number of beneficiaries. Ministry spokesman Nabil al-Saffar explained that the budget allocated to the fund ranges from 600 to 750 billion dinars annually, with the possibility of increasing it based on the amounts recovered from loans.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Saffar added: \u201cWe succeeded in raising the total amount granted in 2024 to 1.08 trillion dinars, which allowed 16,000 beneficiaries to be covered by loans.\u201d He also referred to the system of recycling refunds, which ensures that more citizens benefit.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Launching housing loans: New batches on the way<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The ministry announced February 2 as the date for the launch of a new batch of housing loans, stressing its continued support for housing projects, which is one of the main axes for improving infrastructure and the lives of citizens.<\/p>\n<p>These initiatives reflect Iraq's orientation towards achieving a developmental boom in the housing sector, based on an ambitious government vision that seeks to ease the burdens of citizens and achieve a qualitative leap in the real estate scene through huge investment projects and innovative financing funds.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt;
