On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Real Estate, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al Hammad, CEO of the Public Authority for Real Estate and General Supervisor of the Housing Program, inaugurated the \u201cRiyadh Real Estate Restatex<\/a><\/strong> 2025\" at the Riyadh Convention and Exhibition Center.<\/p>\n

In this context, Al Hammad stressed that the new regulatory legislation approved by the government has contributed to enhancing the competitiveness of the Saudi real estate market, which has positively reflected on its growth. He added that more than 1,000 real estate developers have been qualified over the past three years, and 360 licenses have been granted for off-plan residential projects, contributing to the provision of about 200,000 housing units in integrated communities. These projects meet international standards and support quality of life and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n

He also pointed out that the integrated efforts between the real estate and housing systems contributed to raising the homeownership rate from 47% to 64% by the end of 2024, reflecting the sector's upward trajectory towards achieving its targets.<\/p>\n

Engineer Al Hammad continued that the Saudi real estate sector has become one of the most competitive sectors in the region, with its contribution to GDP reaching 14% in 2024, while total FDI inflows reached more than 16% in the construction and real estate sectors. The real estate sector has provided more than 500,000 job opportunities for Saudi men and women in more than 318,000 establishments in the construction and real estate sectors, making it one of the main drivers of diversifying the national economy and promoting sustainable development.<\/p>\n

In the context of the sector's growth, Al Hammad emphasized that global and local economic challenges, such as monetary policies and interest rates, affect the market, but integrated regulatory policies and continuous efforts to maintain market stability have helped overcome these challenges. He pointed out the importance of first-home ownership incentives, financing support, and tax exemptions, as well as increasing real estate supply, in accelerating the implementation of real estate projects.<\/p>\n

For his part, the Director General of Strategic Communication and Spokesperson of the General Authority for Real Estate, Tayseer bin Mohammed Al-Mufaraj, explained that the Kingdom occupies a prominent position in the global economy and is one of the largest real estate markets in the region. He stressed that real estate exhibitions play an important role in promoting real estate investment and diversifying its sources, which is in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. He added that the exhibition contributes to raising the level of competition, provides multiple options for beneficiaries, and encourages the exchange of experiences between specialists.<\/p>\n

Al-Mufaraj pointed out that the General Authority for Real Estate will continue its efforts in cooperation with its partners to build an effective real estate system, aiming to organize the market and develop services, in line with the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom.<\/p>\n
