effect.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Hussein explained that the new commercial registry system has witnessed major changes, including not issuing sub-registers for a merchant and only one register, and not specifying a city for the commercial registry and covering all regions of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that there is no end date for the commercial registry and that it is sufficient for the trader to submit an annual confirmation of the data recorded in the registry, and that the commercial registry number will be the unified number of the establishment, which starts with the number 7, noting that existing subsidiary registries have been given a five-year grace period to correct their status.<\/p>\n<p>The trade spokesperson explained that the new trade name system allows the reservation and registration of a trade name in English, and the trade name may include letters or numbers, unlike the previous system, which was limited to the Arabic language without letters or numbers.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Hussein pointed out that the new name system allows the trade name to be disposed of independently of the establishment and can be assigned to another merchant, and that an identical or similar name cannot be registered for an establishment even if the activity is different.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that there are controls included in the new names system for reserving a family
