and expand the segment of beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the new amendments in the organization of<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/73231\/\"> Housing support<\/a><\/strong>The age of eligibility for housing support for the head of the household has been reduced to 20 years instead of 25 years, which means giving young people a greater opportunity to own a home early in their lives, reflecting the state's support for young groups and incentivizing them to achieve family and community stability.<\/p>\n<p>The amendments also included the elimination of the dependency requirement for divorced wives and mothers, which opens the door for all citizens, both men and women, to obtain<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/77584\/\"> Housing support<\/a><\/strong> on an equal basis, regardless of marital status or dependency responsibilities, as part of the state's endeavor to achieve equality and promote women's empowerment.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Additional amendments support flexibility and prevent manipulation<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>According to the text of the amendment published by the newspaper, paragraph (4) of Article 18 of the Housing Subsidy Regulation was revised to read as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is not permissible to dispose of the housing subsidy with or without compensation until five years have passed from the date of signing the housing subsidy contract and paying the financial installments in full.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This amendment is a reduction from the previous 10-year term, giving beneficiaries more flexibility to manage their real estate and financial options over a shorter period of time, while maintaining their obligations to the state.<\/p>\n<p>The amendments also allow the authority holder to review the duration of the divorcee's entitlement to housing support in coordination with the relevant authorities, providing more space for assessing individual cases based on real-life developments and the circumstances of the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Emphasis on data accuracy and recovery of subsidies when manipulated<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Within the new regulatory framework, the correctness of the information and data provided by the beneficiaries was emphasized, with the competent authorities having the right to recover the amount of housing support, unit or land if it is proven that inaccurate or false information has been provided, reflecting a strict approach to limit any manipulation of Economic Affairs and Development No. 9-2\/46T dated 14 Sha'ban 1446H.<\/p>\n<p>Recommendation of the General Committee of the Council of Ministers No. 11457 dated 27 Dhu'lqa'dah 1446 AH.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Positive implications for the housing market<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Observers believe that these amendments will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of housing subsidies and expanding the base of beneficiaries, especially by allowing younger heads of household to apply, and achieving greater social justice by removing restrictions related to dependency.<\/p>\n<p>Reducing the prohibition on disposing of housing subsidies to five years is a direct response to the economic and social changes that have occurred in Saudi society,
