Announced Ministry of Commerce<\/a><\/strong> announced that there are 13 days left in the deadline for companies whose fiscal year ends on December 31, 2024, to file their financial statements.
\nThe ministry called on them to expedite the filing of financial statements no later than June 30, 2025, to avoid the imposition of financial penalties according to the Companies Law.<\/p>\n

The ministry explained that companies must prepare Financial statements<\/a><\/strong> at the end of each fiscal year, in accordance with the accounting standards adopted in the Kingdom, and deposited within (6) months from the end of the fiscal year, in accordance with Article (17) of the Corporate system<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The filing of financial statements is the responsibility of: The president of the company, the director of the company, or the chairman of the board of directors, \u201cdepending on the form of the company\u201d.<\/p>\n

The filing of financial statements contributes to fulfilling the statutory requirement according to the company's form, clarifying the company's activity and performance, the company's compliance with market rules and performance indicators, not exposing the company to legal accountability for violating the Companies Law, helping shareholders and partners to monitor the company's performance and financial analysis of financial statements, assessing the extent of corporate governance and transparency, and giving financing and lending bodies confidence in the company.<\/p>\n

The ministry emphasized that a company that breaches its duty to prepare financial statements in accordance with the approved accounting standards or file them in accordance with the provisions of the law will be penalized with a fine, according to Article (262) of the Companies Law.<\/p>\n
