His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Eastern Province and Chairman of the Eastern Development Authority<\/a><\/strong>on the winning designs and projects in the competition to develop the entrances to the metropolitan area. Dammam<\/a><\/strong>His Highness emphasized his support for distinguished architectural designs that embody the spirit of Saudi architecture and contribute to highlighting the beauty of city entrances.<\/p>\n

This came during a meeting at his office at the Emirate Diwan with HE Governor of the Eastern Province Engineer Fahad Al-Jubeir, Acting CEO of the Eastern Province Development Authority Dr. Talal Al-Mughlouth, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Majmu Watan Initiative Mr. Abdullah Al-Fouzan.<\/p>\n

His Highness praised the efforts and constructive cooperation between the public and private sectors, considering that these partnerships represent a key pillar in supporting sustainable urban development plans.<\/p>\n

Contest prizes and details of the winning sites<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The competition resulted in six engineering offices winning the design of the main entrances to the metropolis of Dammam, which included the following locations:<\/p>\n

- First location: King Fahd International Airport entrance in Dammam
\nFirst place: Claire's Engineering Consultants<\/p>\n

Second place: Andrea Tabuchini (Italy)<\/p>\n

Third place: Gemma Chidiac's office<\/p>\n

- Second location: Khobar East Entrance
\nFirst place: Bilgin Office<\/p>\n

Second place: Nimnim's Door Office<\/p>\n

Third place: Hamran Studio<\/p>\n

Wide participation and a quality initiative<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The competition is part of the first phase of the Dammam Metropolitan Entrances Development Project, which is the result of a cooperation agreement signed in January between the Eastern Province Municipality, the Eastern Province Development Authority, and the Al Fozan Community Service Program, represented by the \u201cMajmoud Watan\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n

More than 25 international and local specialized architectural offices were invited to participate in this closed competition, with the aim of developing the main entrances of Dammam metropolis and raising the quality of the urban landscape, in line with the highest aesthetic and urban standards.<\/p>\n

The project is expected to contribute to enhancing the visual character of the city, providing welcoming entrances that reflect the history of the Eastern Province, while at the same time mimicking its development aspirations towards modern cities that embrace heritage and embrace the future.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
