Revealed Sustainable Building Program<\/a><\/strong> The program announced that the number of sustainability assessment requests has tripled over the past five years, following the launch of the program's e-platform, the automation of its services, and the development of an easy-to-access Prefabricated buildings<\/a><\/strong>To enable real estate developers to submit inspection requests for villa complexes and residential buildings, with the ability to specify the number of units per building, and modify the names and areas for each unit individually.<\/p>\n

He explained Sustainable Building Program<\/a><\/strong> In a press release, 6 projects obtained sustainability assessment certificates during the first half of 2025, an increase of (200%) compared to the same period in 2024, and the number of projects obtaining the design conformity document increased by (93%) to (29) projects.<\/p>\n

In addition, 38 new projects were registered to obtain sustainability assessment services, including (4) communities with a total area of more than (8) million meters (2), while the area of residential and commercial buildings reached more than (700) thousand meters (2), and more than (6) thousand reports were issued through the platform, ranging from inspection reports of ready-made buildings to building quality reports.<\/p>\n

and declared Sustainable Building Program<\/a><\/strong> In cooperation with the Public Authority for Real Estate, the Real Estate Institute announced the possibility of registering university students registered with the Saudi Board of Engineers in the training programs offered by the Real Estate Institute, to support students, enhance their professional readiness, and enable young people to develop their competencies and create a \u201cCertified Engineer\u201d account in the sustainable construction platform.<\/p>\n

The Sustainability Assessment is the first Saudi assessment system developed according to international best practices aligned with the Saudi Building Code, enabling property owners and developers to measure the sustainability of new and existing buildings and communities through a comprehensive rating system that covers the design and construction or operation and maintenance phases, and the assessment is based on the points met from the sustainability criteria, according to five levels starting with the green level and ending with the diamond level.<\/p>\n

The Sustainability Assessment criteria are designed to match the Kingdom's local climate and environmental characteristics, focusing on key areas such as energy, water, health, and quality of life, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.<\/p>\n
