Artificial intelligence in real estate asset management: Towards buildings that manage themselves... where are we going?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

For a long time, buildings were seen as static assets; walls, systems, and regular maintenance. But in 2025, they are becoming dynamic entities, interacting, learning, and even partially self-managing thanks to artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

The building is no longer just a residential or commercial unit, but a living data platform, recording every detail from elevator performance, electricity consumption, frequency of breakdowns, to resident satisfaction.
\nThis data, when processed using AI tools, turns into decisions.
\nSuddenly, the system can alert the maintenance team before the air conditioner breaks down, or suggest improvements that reduce your electricity bill by 20%.<\/p>\n

What has really changed?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. The shifting role of asset management<\/strong> From reaction to prediction and prevention.<\/li>\n
  2. The rise of machine learning<\/strong> in evaluating the performance of air conditioning units, lighting, insulation, etc.<\/li>\n
  3. Relying on Digital Twin<\/strong>\u00bb to visualize the building's performance in real-time and continuously improve it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    These shifts open the door to a new paradigm: \u00abOperational Smart Property<\/strong>\u00bb.
    \nNot just in operating elevators or controlling lighting, but in making full management decisions, driven by data.<\/p>\n

    The real challenge: How do we embrace this future?<\/span><\/h4>\n

    \nIt starts with qualifying the infrastructure to be able to capture the data.
    \nThen integrate the systems into a unified platform, and choose algorithms that suit the nature of each project.<\/p>\n

    But most importantly Changing the developer's mindset<\/strong>:
    \nRecognize that investing in operational technology today means reducing future risks, increasing operational efficiency, and increasing asset lifespan.<\/p>\n
