witnessed Contracting sector<\/a><\/strong> The value of awarded projects in Saudi Arabia during July 2025 has jumped to record levels, reflecting the strength of demand and investment activity in the infrastructure, oil, energy, and construction sectors. This surge is a clear indication of the strength of the Saudi economy and its ability to drive development through strategic projects covering various regions and vital sectors.<\/p>\n

The Contracting sector<\/a><\/strong>\u201d published by Saudi Contractors Authority<\/a><\/strong>reported a huge rise in the value of projects awarded in July 2025, reaching SAR 33.6 billion, compared to only SAR 663 million in June of the same year.<\/p>\n

19 projects awarded<\/span><\/h4>\n

The report showed that July recorded the highest number of projects anchored this year with 19 projects, compared to only 7 projects in June, with a clear dominance of the oil and gas sector, which accounted for 48% of the total projects (9 projects), followed by the building and construction sector with 26% (5 projects), then the water and energy sector with 21% (4 projects), and finally the infrastructure sector with 5% (1 project).<\/p>\n

In terms of value, the oil and gas sector topped the list with a total of SAR 27.3 billion, followed by the water and energy sector with SAR 4.3 billion, building and construction with SAR 1.2 billion, and infrastructure with SAR 750 million.<\/p>\n

Geographically, the Eastern Province ranked first with 9 projects worth SAR 27.3 billion, followed by Riyadh with 6 projects worth SAR 2.1 billion, Mecca with 2 projects worth SAR 375 million, while Madinah and Asir recorded one project each worth SAR 3.7 billion and SAR 91.8 million, respectively.<\/p>\n

Saudi Aramco in the lead<\/span><\/h4>\n

At the corporate level, Saudi Aramco topped the scene in July with a project value of SAR 27.3 billion across nine projects, followed by the Saudi Power Purchase Company (SPPC) with one project worth SAR 1.8 billion, the Ministry of Energy with the same value and number of projects, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City with one project worth SAR 750 million, and finally the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) with one project worth SAR 562 million.<\/p>\n

The report expects more than 25 additional projects to be awarded through August 2025, of which around 60% will be in the construction sector, with half of these projects concentrated in the Riyadh and Makkah regions. It also noted that 73% of July's projects are scheduled to be delivered in 2027, with only one project delivered in 2026, and another four in 2028.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
