The Supervisory Committee for the elections of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the next session (1437-1441 AH), formed by a decision of the Minister of Commerce and Industry, decided to open the door for candidacy for membership of the Board of Directors in its next session starting from today until the end of Tuesday 4\/3\/1437 AH corresponding to 15\/12\/2015 AD.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry specified the conditions and controls that must be met by the candidate, most notably that he must be a Saudi national and a subscriber to the Chamber, and that he must have a valid commercial registration within the Chamber's district, and pay his contributions regularly for the year of election and the three previous years, and that the applicant's establishment (institution or company) is located on the ground and actually practicing its activity.<\/p>\n
The Ministry also stipulates that the candidate must be at least thirty years old, which is reduced to 25 years for those who hold a university degree related to commercial or industrial work, and must have worked in commerce or industry for three consecutive years, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry may reduce this period to one year for those who hold a university degree related to commercial and industrial work.<\/p>\n
The Ministry stressed that the candidate should not be a member of the board of directors of a chamber for two consecutive sessions or part of them, and also authorized companies to nominate their director, chairman or managing director to the board of directors of the chamber, provided that the candidate meets the same conditions required for candidates, and that the name of the candidate is registered in the commercial register of the company, and the company confirms that he is on the job and actually performs his duties.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
