\u201cExecutive Regulations for Housing Support\u201d<\/span><\/h4>\n

The regulation, which was issued by a Cabinet decision and published in the Umm Al-Qura newspaper, aims to ensure that support reaches its beneficiaries based on clear and fair criteria, with a focus on evaluating and prioritizing applications based on a comprehensive points system.<\/p>\n

New controls to ensure fairness<\/span><\/h4>\n

The regulation includes detailed mechanisms for distributing housing subsidies and defining ownership paths, where the citizen's eligibility is determined based on several factors such as residency, lack of home ownership, and the family's financial ability.<\/p>\n

It also focuses on specific groups, such as widows, divorced women, and individuals with disabilities or terminal illnesses, giving them priority in applying for support.<\/p>\n

The \u201cpoints\u201d system was adopted as the main mechanism for prioritizing beneficiaries, with points awarded to low-income families, especially those with a monthly income of less than 3,000 riyals. In the event of equal points among applicants, priority will be given to those with the largest number of households, then the lowest income, and finally the oldest.<\/p>\n

Subsidy allocation mechanism<\/span><\/h4>\n

The regulation also set controls on the allocation of housing subsidies based on the ability to pay, as the subsidy is allocated to beneficiaries who are able to pay installments, with the monthly installment rate set at 33% of income. Beneficiaries are also required to use the housing subsidy within a specific period of time, such as starting to build the land within two years of its allocation.<\/p>\n

Data and update controls<\/span><\/h4>\n

The regulation requires applicants to update their data periodically, with penalties for submitting incorrect data. The regulation stipulates that the support contract will be canceled if it is signed based on false data.
