Announced Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources<\/a><\/strong> Launch Netaj Initiative\u201c<\/a> <\/strong>To empower nonprofit organizations in the industrial and mining sectors and maximize their role in the Kingdom\u2019s economic development, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.<\/p>\n

\u201cNataq,\u201d overseen by the Ministry\u2019s General Directorate for the Nonprofit Sector, serves as an incubator for industrial and mining associations, supporting them through all stages of their development\u2014from establishment to operation\u2014 through a comprehensive package of integrated capabilities and services. These include facilitating access to financing solutions that enhance their sustainability and expand their operations, as well as designing innovative initiatives that reduce the associations\u2019 operating costs and improve their institutional performance.<\/p>\n

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Jarah bin Muhammad Al-Jarrah, confirmed that \u201cNataq\u201d comprises three main programs: the \u201cSupport for the Establishment of Non-Profit Organizations\u201d program, which aims to enable industrial and mining organizations to get started by facilitating the completion of incorporation requirements and the issuance of licenses; and the \u201cIncubation of Non-Profit Organizations,\u201d which contributes to building the institutional and operational capacity of industrial and mining organizations; and the \u201cNonprofit Accelerator,\u201d which promotes these organizations\u2019 path toward operational independence and sustainability.<\/p>\n

Al-Jarrah noted that \u201cNataq\u201d comprises nine integrated services for industrial and mining associations, including media services, technical services, logistical and operational services, partnership and stakeholder services, and impact assessment services, as well as institutional and organizational empowerment services, human capacity development services, access to financing services, and knowledge-building services.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the Ministry has announced in recent months the establishment of several nonprofit organizations in the industrial and mining sectors, reflecting its belief in the vital role of the third (nonprofit) sector in helping to achieve national goals. Industrial and mining associations play several important roles, including promoting exports, developing the industrial and mining sectors, facilitating business operations, stimulating and supporting innovation, developing human capital and professional development, attracting investment and stimulating economic activity, financial sustainability and financing, infrastructure, environmental sustainability and safety, and policies and legislation.<\/p>\n

Nonprofit mining and industrial associations are classified into sector-specific associations, including the Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Supply Chains, the Association of Medical Device Manufacturers, the Association of Date Manufacturers, the Pharmaceutical Industries Association, the Chemical Manufacturers Association, the Building Materials Manufacturers Association, the Aircraft Manufacturers Association, the Food Manufacturers Association, the Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association, the Marine Industries Association, the Furniture Manufacturers Association, the Juice and Beverage Manufacturers Association, the Mining Association, and the Precious Metals and Gemstones Association. The classification also includes umbrella organizations, such as the Women in Mining Association, the Industrial Exporters Association, the Industrial Future Association, the Industrial Innovation Association, the Development and Sustainability Association, the Supply Chain Association, the Industrial Incentives Association, and the Association for the Prevention of Losses and Industrial Risk Mitigation.<\/p>\n
