I declare Expo 2030 Riyadh<\/a><\/strong> The International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE) announced that it officially received the BIE banner during the closing ceremony of Expo 2025 Osaka, which concluded in Japan after six months of cultural events and dialogues that brought together participating countries and delegations from around the world.<\/p>\n

The move marks the official transfer of hosting responsibilities to Saudi Arabia, beginning the preparation phase for an exceptional edition of the fair in 2030.<\/p>\n

The closing ceremony saw H.E. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Sultan, Minister of State, Cabinet Member and CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, receive the BIE flag in the presence of H.E. Faisal bin Fadel Al Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Japan Dr. Ghazi bin Saeed bin Zaqr, and a number of dignitaries and officials, confirming the Kingdom's commitment and full readiness to host the global event in 2030.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of Expo 2025 in Japan, Engineer Al-Sultan stressed that the transfer of the flag from Japan to Riyadh is an important milestone in the Kingdom's journey towards hosting the world at Expo 2030 Riyadh, and an announcement of the start of the countdown to organize an unprecedented edition of the world's most prominent exhibition.<\/p>\n

He explained that this event embodies a new stage in the Kingdom's march towards the future, thanks to the unlimited support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God bless him - and the direct leadership of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in addition to the concerted efforts of all state institutions and the great welcome of citizens and residents in the Kingdom in general and Riyadh in particular, to provide an exceptional experience that reflects the Kingdom's excellence and leadership in organizing global events and embodies its vision to build a more innovative and cooperative future for the entire world.<\/p>\n

For his part, the CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh<\/a><\/strong> Engineer Talal Al-Marri: \u201cAs we progress through the implementation phase and Riyadh takes over the BIE banner, we look forward to presenting a unique version of Expo 2030 Riyadh that will set new global standards in sustainability and innovation and bring the world together to create a positive and sustainable impact.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Expo 2030 Riyadh organized a cultural event titled \u201cFrom Osaka to Riyadh\u201d on October 10 at the Expo Arena Matsuri, where more than 15,000 visitors enjoyed musical and cultural performances that combined Saudi and Japanese cultures.<\/p>\n

The company also organized a number of workshops and bilateral meetings with participating countries to discuss priorities and preparations associated with hosting the exhibition.
\nThe Saudi Pavilion concluded its participation at Expo 2025 Osaka with great success, setting a new record of more than 3 million visitors.<\/p>\n

Expo 2030 Riyadh will be held from October 1, 2030 to March 30, 2031, on an area of 6 million square meters, spread across five main zones highlighting Expo's themes of technological innovation, inclusive development and sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is expected to attract more than 42 million visitors from 197 countries and 29 organizations, providing a common space for the exchange of ideas and practical solutions to address key challenges.<\/p>\n
