As part of the celebration of World Standards Day, which falls on October 14th, the Public Authority for Roads<\/a><\/strong> that \u201cSaudi Road Code<\/a><\/strong>\u201dIt is a comprehensive regulatory framework that enhances the quality and efficiency of Saudi Arabia's road network and contributes to achieving the highest standards of safety and sustainability.<\/p>\n

The celebration highlights the role of the standards and specifications adopted by the code, which is a comprehensive technical reference for all entities responsible for Methods<\/a> <\/strong>in the Kingdom, covering the entire road lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.<\/p>\n

The Roads Authority explained that the Saudi Road Code includes a set of requirements, controls and standards, including 25 specialized codes in various fields such as preliminary planning, engineering studies, engineering design, road facilities, and maintenance. The code aims to enable the concerned parties to access the necessary information for the planning, design, implementation, operation and maintenance of all types of roads in the Kingdom, taking into account environmental aspects and the requirements of self-driving vehicles, in addition to providing guidelines, drawings, procedures and checklists for all road networks, to ensure an acceptable level of quality, safety, security, economic efficiency and sustainability.<\/p>\n

KDIPA emphasized that the code plays a pivotal role in raising the quality of the road network in the Kingdom, improving safety and security, and contributing to environmental protection through the application of sustainability standards. In the context of World Standards Day, which this year focuses on the 17th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), \u201cPartnerships for achieving the Goals\u201d, KDIPA emphasized the importance of partnership with road authorities in the Kingdom to achieve sustainable development in the road sector, which enhances economic and tourism development in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The General Roads Authority stressed its commitment to continuously develop the code to keep pace with global developments in the field of transportation, stressing that this regulatory framework reflects the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in improving the quality of roads.<\/p>\n
