Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid Al-Hogail is visiting the Chinese capital Beijing as part of an Asian tour to discuss strengthening cooperation in the fields of housing and urban development, as well as expanding the horizons of partnership in the fields of infrastructure and smart cities.<\/p>\n
Al-Haqeel's visit to Beijing lasts for two days, and comes within the path of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and China to implement 100,000 housing units by 2030, where bilateral meetings will be held between Minister of Municipalities and Housing<\/a> and a number of leaders of major Chinese companies, to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the fields of industrial construction, modern construction technologies, exchange of experiences, and signing a number of memorandums of understanding between Saudi and Chinese companies.<\/p>\n As part of the visit, Al-Haqeel will address National Housing Company<\/a>This visit is a continuation of the strategic cooperation between the Kingdom and China, as well as the expansion of its international partnerships, especially with leading Chinese companies, to keep pace with the urban growth and major projects that the Kingdom is witnessing.<\/p>\n In 2023, Saudi Arabia and China signed 12 agreements worth more than $1.3 billion in infrastructure, finance and housing, and more than 8,000 housing units have been implemented in Makkah, Taif, Jeddah, Asir and Jizan in the past years as a result of cooperation between the
