HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alwaleed Philanthropies, approved the housing project to provide 10,000 housing units at the disposal of the Egyptian government for an amount of 850 million Egyptian pounds, making the cost of the project two billion Egyptian pounds, over 10 years at 1000 housing units per year, as well as the donation of 10,000 acres in the Toshka area as a gift to the Egyptian people to benefit from it as the government deems appropriate for the Egyptian community.<\/p>\n
Ms. Abeer Kaaki, Secretary General of Alwaleed Philanthropies, represented His Highness at the protocol signing ceremony, which was attended by Dr. Ali Gomaa, former Grand Mufti of the Republic and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr El-Khair Foundation, on Thursday, along with the Ministers of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Local Development, and Social Solidarity.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was also attended by Ms. Nouf Al Rawaf, Executive Director of Global Development Projects, and Princess Lamia bint Majed Al Saud, Executive Director of Public Relations and Media.<\/p>\n
The units will be distributed to the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the exception of Cairo, North Sinai, and South Sinai, with funding from the Alwaleed Philanthropies. A joint announcement of the start date and how to apply for a housing unit will be made soon through an advertising campaign that will cover all parts of the Arab Republic of Egypt.<\/p>\n
